Q: Will any of the Shemoóre products make my hair grow really fast?

A: The first thing we need to understand when trying to grow your hair is the importance of looking after our inner being and feeding your body the right balanced diet.  Micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals play an important role in normal hair follicle development and immune cell function, Deficiency of such micronutrients may represent a modifiable risk factor associated with the development, prevention, and treatment of hair loss, and the general condition of your hair cycle. so, if you find your body is imbalanced that is an indication to what we like to call a full inner body check to see what your body may be lacking and I promise this will help you along your hair care journey.

Shemoóre brands itself by taking a holistic approach and using herbs, fruits and  oils from nature that promotes health and healing to your hair, & body. We like to make a disclosure that our hair care products are not a quick fix or we do not claim to be miracle growth products. 

All of our Shemoóre products are plant based and have a blend of high quality herbs and oils that are high in Minerals & vitamin that are enriched with sulfur, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, iodine, and selenium, which are vital minerals for your body and hair. However we do aim to produce and create high quality products that promote health and healing to your hair skin and body, 

We use herbs such as Moringa which contains vitamin A, zinc, vitamin E, B vitamins and silica; it’s all known to promote natural and healthy hair growth. We use Guava leaves as a hair thickening agent, the vitamins B and C in guava nourish hair follicles and help in hair growth.  

We also use Amla, Bhringaraj, Nettle, Seamoss and a few other Ayurvedic herbs that are infused in oils and made part of all the formulas. It is our special herbal complex Ayurvedic mixture and is why all our products promote such great hair growth abilities! The Coco Milk moisture conditioner and our Crown Herbal Ayurvedic hair oil includes a little “extra”, which makes it stand apart from all the other products. No one product alone will grow your hair “really fast”. 

It takes time and patience to undo the damage that we so often inflict on our hair. With a consistent cleansing, conditioning & moisturizing regimen (using Shemoóre products), I am confident that you will see your hair gaining its original healthy texture back and promoting hair growth.

Q: Are your Beauty by Shemoóre products safe for my skin?

A: We only use natural and organic ingredients sourced through earth’s nature. We use herbs, fruits extracts, clays and oils that are rich in Minerals and vitamins that are vital to support the functions of your body & skin. We have found that these natural resources of the earth work better than man-made chemical alternatives. When you start using our skin care range especially our whipped exfoliating soap on your skin, myself and results from our Shemoóre family have found our bodies have become noticeably different and much softer, clearer, more relaxed and rejuvenated. Every day we are in conscious gratitude with the results of our range. 

Q: What is the shelf life of your products? 

A: Because our products are made fresh with natural and organic ingredients and no harmful preservatives, they do have expiration dates ranging between 9-12 months depending on the product. Also, please remember that your fingers are a source of contaminants. Each time you reach into the jars to take out some of our wonderful product, you will be exposing that product to bacteria and other contaminants. If it’s possible use a cosmetic spatula or disposable stick or spoon. Additionally, please avoid any exposure of water into the product. Water encourages the growth of mold and bacteria.

Q: Are Shemoóre products vegan friendly?

A: All our products are plant-based and are suitable for vegans. But please read all of the ingredient lists to make sure they are suitable for your requirements.

Q: Are your Hair and skin care products only for Afro- Caribbean / African American hair?

A: The short answer is “no”. Our Hair care range was designed and  made in mind for those with Afro & mixed textured hair however, people from all ethnicities and walks of life, and with various different ‘types’ of hair (curly, straight, kinky, afro-textured, relaxed, braided and loc’d) are current Shemoóre family members!.

Q: Are your products safe for children?

A: Yes, because we do not use any harsh ingredients or chemicals, our products are generally safe for use on children. 

Q: Does your product contain nuts?

We do want you to know that many of our products contain nut oils such as Almond and Sheabutter. If you have allergies to any of our natural ingredients that would cause an allergic reaction, please do not use that particular product.

Disclaimer: 

Q Why is this product slightly thinner/thicker than the last one I received?

A: Shemoóre Hair and Skin care products are made fresh using natural oils, butters and natural emulsifiers so slight differences in texture from batch to batch may occur. This will not affect performance. A thinner batch will thicken over time as is the nature of certain emulsion systems.

Q: What is a simple regimen for caring for my hair?

A: You really need to only remember these 5 things:

1. Drink water

2. Clean

3. Condition

4. Moisture

5. Seal

Once you’ve done this, your hair has been well maintained! You may then use our hair Strength & growth solutions and/or styling products to enhance your curls!

Q: What is a simple regimen for caring for my Skin?

A: You really need to only remember these 5 things:

1. Drink water

2. Balanced diet (eat fruit & leafy greens)

3. Cleanse

4. Exfoliate 

5. Moisture

Once you’ve done this, your skin has been well maintained! You may then use our skin care products, to keep your skin rejuvenated and healthy!

Q: What is the best way to get well-defined twists & twist outs?

A: Using our butternut hair soufflé will give you the moisture you need after you wash & condition your hair. Mixing a little of our Flaxseed style & go gel creame  along with the hair butter will help to control frizz, give you fabulous shine, and will help to hold your style in place. It will not leave your hair hard or crunchy (unless you use too much!). A little goes a long way, so please be modest in your application and you will get great results!
